Pictures from NH7 2010 the nicest music festival i went to in the recent past. Absolutely last minute like all things i do made it so much better cause i did not plan it at all, and my so many amazing things happened.
I went along with my friends alisha batth and alisha pais (together = middle sister) who got to play a last minute, unplanned gig and opened for the closing act the Magic Numbers and this year Alisha Batth will be playing on the main stage solo.
I was told i was the jack of all trades and the master of none at an interview to design school a couple years back. Which is why i look upto musicians who bring people together and get to sing what they are feeling and want to say. Who knows what i will do may be i was meant to do many different things in my life or just dance to the great music i hear them play.

Recent pictures from the Bread and butter trade fair in Berlin also one of the most amazing things iv ever seen what is even better the airport converted to a fashion trade fare also had a live music stage. Also got to watch the Michalsky spring summer 2012 show where Uk band Mirrors performed live and my camera battery died just when i attempted to take a picture of them and instead got a picture of the ceiling of the amazing venue.

Something dint feel right when i woke up today, not sure if it was everything happening right now or nothing.

So i did what i had to and never left my room, except when i had to go to the kitchen and eat anything i could find. These are pictures i took after i came home from Couture week in Bombay, October 2010 and cooked myself a meal in the middle of the night. I decided to wear my old clothes from my college days. It could make a fun uniform for brown days like these.

The worlds getting more and more obsessed with space, there is so much out there that we will never truly know off. Knowing humans they will pretty much ruin whatever they get to, so its best they get here first.

Sometimes going out can be very hard when you have to cover long distances and your an hour away from a 1:30 deadline in Bombay, but i was already in what i wanted to wear. There was no choice.

I recently went to the Manish Arora Sale in Delhi and after a long hour of trying pretty much everything in there i gave in to this galaxy print top (which i have never seen before). My rock from the beach was referred to as a moonstone the next day as we discussed space at a work meeting. An hour later happened to find Star Trek playing on Hbo. Its a Sign!

Last year June 2010 almost a year ago i was in Singapore for the Launch of Bulgari Man the fragrance in Asia. I happened to see the city again very differently then i had 10 years ago. Met a lot of really interesting people whose names i might have messed up since iv mixed up all the visiting cards.(please correct me if you know anyone or it is you in the picture id appreciate it).

We stayed at the Marina bay sands had heard so much about the hotel, there are a couple of pictures from the roof, was not very fond of the over done interiors.

I also spent way too much time shopping only at uniqlo and topman. Going to the stores more then once i did buy some things i really love. For the first time the jeans were actually skinny on the leg at a mens store but i ended up buying a baggy pair 2 inches bigger then my size. Theres a picture of me in it with the mustard jacket in the dressing room and recently below. Have been losing way too many things in the past couple of months along with the usual loss of cell phones, I dont know where my topman sunglasses(below), earphones, black reading glasses i got are i miss them if i left them at anyones id be glad to have them back.

Or i guess i'm learning how to let go.

First one for the year jumping ten other posts including fashion weeks, new countries, music festivals, award ceremonies and birthdays.
One very hungover tired Sunday we decided to shoot our first drag story on someone who never showed
up so we switched things around did Mr. Blouse instead.
I have never collected one piece of clothing in so many variations apart from polo shirts back when i was
in college and was obsessed with those. Now i have a growing collection of Blouses in every form sheer
and shoulder padded, metallic and velvet and this is about each one of those.
This is first half of the images, will shoot the other half of this soon to put up here and many more hopefully.

So i barely ever buy two different colours in same piece of clothing if i really like it except if it is ofcourse really cheap and something id wear often. This grandad collar shirt fit both of the rules. I never saw the inky blue one until four months after the white. I found them both while cleaning my room along with my something strange from my sisters junk haha thought i should try all of them on together.
They are the same size which simplifies this idea. there are a couple of things you can do with the back either knot the sleeves or let them loose or you could cut it and sew it to make one shirt like someone suggested to me but i cant...but you never know - evolution.
Now i wish i could have a half each from the two shirts pasted together below. perfectly good apart even better together.

Its not a bad time to post this.... the sky has been looking all orange for the past few days at sunset just like it was the last time the seasons changed back in April.(when i took these pictures in the summer). Was good timing for the bag my friend left behind with the shopping he did for me to finally reach me from New York after 3 months.
Apart from the see through tee from American Apparel finally i also got what i was more excited for. My first issue of Butt issue 27. Now also the last issue until 2011, since they announced a sabbatical in May. I scanned a couple of its least flesh bearing awesome matte flesh-pink pages. There's so many amazing interviews and images in there. Until i order more of these 27's going back to its hiding place.

Its been really long i posted anything, infact i had this post uploaded but dint even have the time to hit publish , okay that is a bit much of self pity. Have done allot since i last time i wrote here have tons of pending stories and photographs. My dad turned 60 today to my disbelief, i watched 3 awesome movies, read almost half of the Hobbit and completely forgot about a meeting, guess this will add to the productive day i'v had. : S

Starting off with this since it was already saved and was one of the things i like most about this year. My forest shoot or excuse to go to forest if you can call the outskirts of Bombay that. Will upload the entire shoot a bit later. Was a long day of rain, sleeplessness, flies and wet socks but i guess it was worth it.

All of sudden i think theres way too many things to buy in Bombay.
Here is more stuff i got to add to my wardrobe from fcuk.
After spending an hour or more trying on almost everything from the
menswear section i decided to go the womens and get something.
With so many tempting florals, power shouldered striped dresses and
tons of sequins.
I settled for this flesh coloured jersey dress with embroidered sleeves
perfect to share with my better (wardrobe) half.
from the mens i got the basic printed long tshirt cause it reminded me
of one of my favourite videos , M83 - we own the sky.
Watching the IPL final can be very boring so after we finished watching
it we decided to take pictures at my friends apartment.

This was long pending like all my other posts, my first time at Delhi fashion week.
Over packed and only 3 days late im not sure if i expected too much or i missed
alot of the nice shows from earlier.
With extravagant presentations everywhere from lazer shows, dancers, films, mascots,
symphony of vocal sounds the clothes started to seem second best.
Prashant Verma's shredded flesh coat left a lasting impression on me and i should try
it on soon, may be own it. perfect for 4am walks.

The models vanished into the the plain layers of the muslin forest at Pratap to
Thom Yorke's hearing damage. The perforated fabrics and sequined jackets
were genius, along with the perfect asymmetric blazer but the symphony was
the most memorable part of the show.

Varun Sardana's felt details looked even better up close and had many more
great separates not shown on the runway. Also spotted on more people then
any other designer -Varun's first few collections to his newest aw 2010.
Then there was the first day which was pushed to the day after the finale which
meant i missed one day less i guess shit happens for good, i was reminded that
i still don't own sequined pants (Atsu).

I would only wear it as lining to my jacket all along, now i want everything i can imagine covered in dots. Been obsessed for a while now and have been finding more and more of them all over the place. Need to get dotted trousers and il be good. Also hope it inspires me to work on my 50's project.

Its a long story but i might as well say.
these are my spray paint diy creations from
the Diesel launch party which was kinda overwhelming
with the dancing and the other stupidness (like they
call it) my stupid dancing is only for my very close
friends but i was glad to watch the others.
We had to pick a pair or shoes and a tee and do what
we like to it. Spray/duck tape/glue/paint.
Have been wanting to do this on my walls with duck tape
and spray - (top design season 2 preston lees artwork).

the shoes i got are a size too small i waited to long
for everyone to make way so now they must be with
someone who is a size 9 and will wear them just right.
I think i know who....

Has been a while iv had these and before i got out
last night i decided to take pictures of them in my
steamy bathroom. What turned out to be worst night ever
also reconfirmed my trust issues i think better then
any of the numerous grim experiences this year.

Reaching only 3 days late and pretty much lost, my first time at
Delhi Fashion week awtumn winter 2010 wandering in the stalls
I found something i was looking forward to for a while now.
Shoulders!
a borrowed bag full of blouses,
my same old accessories and a ton of options of oversized shirts
was all i could manage to pack in a confused 10 minutes.
These shoulder pads and straps by Felix Bendish were a perfect
solution and fit.
So we tried them on and made good use of them.
They fit right onto anything, plaid, lace, jersey,
in elastic straps or a georgette scarf options.
Cant wait to get them made to my size.
Easy to wear and great to avoid fake hugs at fashion week.

Before

6 months back when i looked for my acid washed
denim jacket passed on to me from family i realised
its gone and some else would be wearing it or using it
as cloth to wipe stuff. Still dont know where or how.
My search for the perfect denim jacket ended up in
buying this more blazer like especially the lapels
and pocket details and fit.
After thinking about it very long and hard i decided
id give into the plan of spray painting the
sleeves black 3 months back. This is what it looks like now
and am not sure if i have ruined or reinvented it.

the most worn designer at fashion week kallol datta
showed his best yet with so many things i would wear

i think had the best work since i was one of them not so
long back and know how much goes into this.

Hand dyed fabrics, draped into a very nice wearable collection of dresses,
could be dressed up or down quite effortlessly.

The Forgotten Garden by Danica Dsouza
Over-sized knits and a whole lot of embroidered and pinned moths
with weaver bird nests and dried leaves as accessories. Great organic appeal.

Sprezzatura by Sara Shaikh
The dandy simplified and modernized - Love the double lapel, layered jacket
going into the check pants.

Digital prints mixed and layered with some heavy knitting.

The Time of no Time by Kshitij Choudhary
Mayan deities wearing intricate beading and embroideries with elaborate hair
pieces think Apocalypto the movie. The asymmetric skirt and beaded

My favourite neutral is grey but its got some
stiff competition with the browns this season
in every hue possible - beige, nude, chocolate,
biscuit, sand. It works best in every way head to toe

My favourite way to wear a neutral is a safari suit
and it never gets out of style for either of the
