on my friends clothes and shot
them on her.
We put it on everything we found
just dint take pictures of all of it
also some of it got washed eventually
and doesnt exist anymore.

Chimera - The Diverse Creature

Some of the aspiring designers graduating from WLC Bombay
last weekend at the annual show Chimera. Here are the ones
i think had the best work since i was one of them not so
long back and know how much goes into this.


Slumdog Chic by Loise Braganza
Hand dyed fabrics, draped into a very nice wearable collection of dresses,
could be dressed up or down quite effortlessly.

The Forgotten Garden by Danica Dsouza
Over-sized knits and a whole lot of embroidered and pinned moths
with weaver bird nests and dried leaves as accessories. Great organic appeal.

Sprezzatura by Sara Shaikh
The dandy simplified and modernized - Love the double lapel, layered jacket
going into the check pants.

Sang Froid by Anshu Gautam
Digital prints mixed and layered with some heavy knitting.

The Time of no Time by Kshitij Choudhary
Mayan deities wearing intricate beading and embroideries with elaborate hair
pieces think Apocalypto the movie. The asymmetric skirt and beaded
leg warmer were most interesting pieces.

If I Was Courage:

pink bleached skinnies.

mineral washed purple jeans.

My favourite fuschia dog with the 3 black marks on his back and
a pair of floppy ears is really loyal and well very smart.
he gets me to try and dress how he would.

tryin to get my hands on the episode called "The Feast of the Bullfrogs" its
really one of the most awesome animation iv seen on a tv cartoon series.

Neutrals I : Brown

Core - Nachiket Barve AW/09

Knot for you - Anuj Sharma SS/09

My favourite neutral is grey but its got some
stiff competition with the browns this season
in every hue possible - beige, nude, chocolate,
biscuit, sand. It works best in every way head to toe
or offset with bright contrast.
My favourite way to wear a neutral is a safari suit
and it never gets out of style for either of the
sexes.

Power Trees~

There are so many things around us
we barely look at anything closely!
These trees early one morning at a
friends place only looked to me like
really strong pieces of clothing-
tried my best to make them look
as close as i could to what i imagined
details: pleating, fringes, darts, tucks, mesh
constructed shapes, exaggerated body contours.
